She has tons of detail and even more character than I’m able to capture in the photos. Knots, grain, color variation, and natural imperfections in the wood all come together to make this piece unique and beautiful in her own way.

Branch art created by combining a mixture of 39 faux turquoise beads and 5 vintage, metal necklace pieces tied onto hemp twine then wrapped around a natural, wood branch. As expected with vintage items, the metal necklace accent pieces have tarnish, patina and wear. The branch has been thoroughly cleaned and has beautiful, natural color variations throughout, totally complimenting the warm tones of the necklace pieces. The hanger is made of braided hemp twine.

≡≡≡ About the Reclaimed Wood I Use ≡≡≡
I carefully choose and collect only the most unique pieces of used wood and repurpose them into beautiful signs, mostly for my “tiny sign” collection. Each piece of wood has been thoroughly cleaned, sealed with a non-toxic finish, painted and then sealed again with the same non-toxic matte finish for extra protection.
≡≡≡ About the Wood I Use for Branch Art ≡≡≡
Randomly, I wander around my yard, neighborhood and local beaches, looking for branches that have the “right” look for my branch art designs (yes, I’m that person). Each piece has been hand selected for it’s character and how it will help make my designs come alive. Every single branch has been cleaned and sanded in spots that need it, without disturbing any of it’s natural beauty.
